textile music - music composed by creating, editing, and manipulating textile sounds and images – by students of the 3HKA, HLA Herbststraße 1160 Wien.
The school Herbststraße in 1160 Vienna has a great tradition in textile design. Historically based on the "K&K Stickereischule" and the "Weißnäherei". Today the school provides an emphasis on: fashion, fashion marketing, artistic design and textile design. This project emphasized the auditive components of textiles. These sounds have been recorded, manipulated and composed to a "textile symphony". Richard Graf (composer, guitarist and music educator) directed the process of musical composition. Together with Doris Evdokimidis (arts educator and artist) an audio-visual image-sound-installation has been produced.
